Almaguer was a Cuban artist that during the beginning of 1900s chronicled via his drawings life in his hometown of Gibara, Holguin in Cuba. The graphic history of the fields that surround the village of Gibara, the beauty of the coast, and the life of the inhabitants of the town fill the pictorial work of Almaguer. Almaguer fue un artista cubano que a comienzos de 1900 hizo una crónica a través de sus dibujos de la vida en su ciudad natal de Gibara, Holguín, en Cuba.
