Description

Stunning original Artist Proof of "Storm at Night" by American artist Harry H. Wickey, Signed by the artist along with "100 proofs". Appears to be a wedding gift to Gianna & Clifton Hanover from Harry H. Shapiro, a Dr. at the time who's poem was found among Eleanor Roosevelts other possessions in her wallet after she passed away. Gift was given in 1936 (dated on back below the Dr. signature) Framed and in excellent condition. A couple of "dents" in the matting are visible. The proof itself measures 8 3/4" x 12 3/4" and the overall measurements, including the frame, are 16 3/4" x 20"
