Dweezil Zappa Original Ink Drawing "To Alice" 1978 (He Was 9 Years Old) Dweezil Zappa Original Ink Drawing "To Alice" 1978 (He Was 9 Years Old) Click images to enlarge Description Dweezil Zappa, original brown ink drawing created when he was 9 years old and presented to Alice, 11 by 8 1/2 inches, in excellent condition. The drawing comes from the estate of Alice Ritchey Warshaw, the Zappa's next door neighbor, who was a teacher at North Hollywood High School that taught art and art history. Dweezil did not sign the drawing but Alice wrote his name and age 9 on the back. The image looks like the Zappa and Warshaw homes on Woodrow Wilson Drive. This is one of several Dweezil and Moon Unit drawings that I was able to acquire. Frank Zappa lived in his Laurel Canyon home from 1969 to his death in 1993 and the Zappa family continued to live there until 2016 following the death of his wife. The Warshaws lived in their Laurel Canyon home from 1971 until Alice died a few months ago. The two families were close and often shared time together.
